Svantek sound analysers

The latest Svantek hand-held sound and vibration analysers are now available from AcSoft.

The Svan 945 and 943 are Type 1 and Type 2, respectively, approved digital sound-level meters offering optional real-time frequency analysis. The 945 features 1/1 octave analysis as standard, upgradeable to 1/3 octaves. The 943 is an 8h noise dosemeter with selectable q, while the 945 provides options for loudness measurement, bark-band analysis and pure-tone detection.

Both instruments combine powerful digital signal processing for real-time analysis, including statistical calculations, with built-in standard weighting filters — A, C, Lin(FLAT) for the 943 and A, C, Lin(Z) and G for the 945. Noise measurements include SPL, Leq, SEL, Statistics and TaktMax. Three acoustic profiles can be measured in parallel with independently defined weightings and RMS detector time constants. This means that Impulse, Fast and Slow measurements can be carried out concurrently with time histories recorded in the 3MB memory buffer. Statistics may also be calculated in frequency band when the real-time filter option is fitted.

The instruments are powered by a built-in rechargeable battery. Results can be viewed on an easy-to-read back-lit LCD or downloaded to a PC using the RS232 interface and SvanPC software.
