Surrey waste firm invests in new Caterpillar excavator

Cat 320E LRR excavator

Weybridge Skips take delivery of bespoke Cat 320E LRR medium-sized excavator

WEYBRIDGE Skips, a family-owned waste-management operator, have purchased a new Cat 320E LRR excavator fitted with a Cat 315B GC grab. The business prides itself on environmentally friendly methods and achieving zero waste to landfill. And with all of their machines and vehicles meeting low emission standards, it came as no surprise to see Weybridge were looking for a eco-friendly solution that boosted productivity yet remained economical.

Fitted with a ‘ biodiesel-ready’ fuel system that improves fuel efficiency and meets low emission requirements, the Cat 320E LRR excavator model was recommended by suppliers Finning. With its 6ft 7in tail swing, the machine works efficiently in tight spaces while retaining a full-sized cab and good service access points.

Lifting capacity has been increased by up to 5%, thanks to the specification of a Cat 315B GC grab. For enhanced productivity, the Cat 320E LRR excavator uses two high-pressure hydraulic pumps, along with a back-to-back control valve to ensure maximum efficiency and greater versatility when handling heavy loads.

The machine is also equipped with an electric valve that is controlled by its electronic control module (ECM), which enhances control during crucial heavy loading.
