Six new Bell B30E ADTs for AB2000

Bell B30E dumptruck

Bell Equipment continues as firm favourite for largest privately owned plant-hire firm in Scotland

AB2000, the largest privately owned plant-hire firm in Scotland, have purchased six E-series articulated dumptrucks (ADTs) from Bell Equipment, as the firm seeks to support its expansion plans in Inverness and Aberdeen, and in the Central Belt.

Bell Equipment accounts for the majority of AB2000’s fleet of more than 50 ADTs, and the latest additions – six 30-tonne B30E trucks – are part of Bell’s next-generation E-series ADT range that will build upon the proven legacy of the successful D-series machines already operated by AB2000.

‘AB2000 are one of the biggest and most reliable names in the plant hire industry,’ explained Sandy Fairweather, Scottish sales manager at Bell. ‘Maintaining their reputation depends on the company’s ability to supply the latest modern, robust, fuel-efficient and high-quality machines that allow their customers to undertake jobs efficiently with minimum downtime.’

The purchase of the new machines will help AB2000 to meet demand at their new depots in Inverness and Aberdeen, supplying ADTs for use on construction projects that the company hopes will include the recently awarded Aberdeen bypass scheme.

‘Bell is our predominant ADT supplier, for the key reason that we know what we’re getting,’ explained Adam Bruce, AB2000’s managing director. ‘Their machines are durable, reliable, and fuel efficient, and purpose built to withstand the varying and often challenging environments that our plant and equipment needs to work in.

‘Bell also understand the level of reliability we depend upon, so if a repair is ever needed or a warranty service is scheduled, we can count on them to speed-up the response time and make the necessary parts available – ensuring our customer’s jobs keep moving, and our trucks get back to work quickly.’

Mr Bruce added: ‘We never forget that the customers who hire our plant and equipment always have a choice, and it’s important that the equipment we hire to them is efficient and reliable enough to maintain their production levels. We buy machines from Bell because customers ask us for Bell equipment.’
