UK-based firm prepares to enter Australian market with ScreenMasters Australia Pty Ltd

LAST year UK-based Samson Materials Handling’s search for a state-of-the-art dealer for their comprehensive range of mobile handling equipment for the Australian market culminated in an agreement between Samson Materials Handling – part of the Aumund Group – and Bathurst-based ScreenMasters Australia Pty Ltd.

Established in 1995, ScreenMasters Australia Pty Ltd are dealers for some of the world’s largest manufacturers of track-mounted crushing and screening equipment – a business that offers significant synergies for Samson’s material feeder, boom feeder, link conveyor and telescopic conveyor products.

As well as their head office in Bathurst, New South Wales, ScreenMasters have an office in Ormeau, Queensland, and a newly completed warehouse at Wetherill Park, Sydney, offering parts and aftermarket support 24h a day, seven days a week.

Since the signing of the distributor agreement and subsequent appointment of Laurence McCurdy to focus on the Samson brand, ScreenMasters and Samson Materials Handling have collaborated closely on the development and specification of market-specific standard products, the first two of which are now on order.

Both units, a TC1030 telescopic conveyor and a BF0415T Stormajor boom feeder (pictured), are now in production in the UK and will be delivered in the third quarter of 2013, forming the basis of the full launch of the Samson standard product range, through ScreenMasters, into the Australian market.
