RTPI/MPA Minerals Conference

‘Securing a sustainable supply of minerals’ will be the focus of this year’s conference in Nottingham

THE annual RTPI/MPA Minerals Conference will take place on 20 May at its new state-of-the-art home at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham.

This year the conference is unique as it comes just after the much-anticipated UK general election. With Louise Barr from the DCLG providing an update on planning initiatives over the next five years, the conference will offer mineral planners the opportunity to get to grips with the Government’s initiatives.

‘Securing a sustainable supply of minerals’ is the overall theme for 2015 and delegates will be able to take part in the minerals safeguarding debate. This will focus on the delivery of adequate and timely future mineral resources, together with the need for a longer-term UK minerals strategy.
