RDS achieve ‘self-verification’ status

RDS Loadmaster a100

Loadmaster a100 weigher accredited as suitable for use in Class IIII commercial transactions

RDS Technology’s Loadmaster a100 system has been accredited as a ‘legal for trade’ weigher, thereby permitting product to be sold from the printed ticket.

Typically fitted to a wheel loader, the Loadmaster a100 effectively transforms the machine into a mobile weighbridge conforming to class Y(b) levels of accuracy (and OIML only in the UK).

To achieve accreditation, RDS Technology’s quality system for production, testing and final product inspection was subject to scrutiny by the National Measurement Office, with the company fulfilling the obligations laid down by the Measuring Instruments Directive 2004/22/EC.

As a company specializing in developing electronic weighing technology and adding value to their products, RDS say they are the first in the UK to be accredited in this way.

Subject to a signed agreement and passing a rigorous training programme, RDS Technology’s European distributor network can now not only install Loadmaster a100 systems, but also calibrate and verify them as suitable for use in Class IIII commercial transactions.
