Organizational changes at Volvo Group Trucks UK & Ireland

Arne Knaben

New multi-brand market company organization aims to strengthen business and streamline operations

IN a move aimed at strengthening the business and streamlining operations, Volvo Group Trucks UK & Ireland have announced a comprehensive reorganization of functions at the market company’s head office in Warwick.

The new organization brings together and merges the current Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks support functions, whilst maintaining separate commercial functions to represent the interests of both brands in the market.

The changes are being introduced to support a new, multi-brand-focused Renault and Volvo truck sales, aftermarket and marketing organization serving its dealer networks and its customers in the UK and Ireland market.

Following the internal announcement of Arne Knaben’s appointment as Volvo Group Trucks UK & Ireland managing director in April, further management personnel appointments have now been announced within the new organization.

Nigel Butler and Mike Corcoran will lead the development and growth of the Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks brands, respectively, in the UK and Ireland in their roles as commercial directors.

Aftermarket and customer support will be directed by Tony Davis, while Ian Wrench, as retail development director, will take responsibility for developing the two respective and separate dealer networks.

Amanda Hiatt has been appointed to the new position of marketing director Volvo Group Trucks UK & Ireland. She is now responsible for new and used truck marketing, BRS contract hire and truck rental, aftermarket marketing, product marketing and media relations for all brands.

Commenting on the new multi-brand-focused organization, Arne Knaben (pictured) said: ‘I am confident that it will enable us to support our BRS, Renault and Volvo truck customers even more effectively. The organizational changes we have put in place demonstrate that our emphasis is firmly on delivering quality and cost-effective transport solutions to our customers.’

It is planned that the full, multi-brand support teams and organization will be in place and fully operational by Monday 7 September 2015.
