VDMA/CECE publish new guideline outlining the risks for construction companies and dealers
‘WHAT do you risk when you use, buy or sell a non-compliant construction machine?’ is the title of a new short guideline published by VDMA/CECE.
The guideline addresses all who use, buy or sell construction machines in the European Union.
Construction equipment made available on the EU market must comply with the relevant EU legislation and meet all valid safety and environmental requirements.
Machinery which does not fulfill these requirements is non-compliant and is not allowed to be placed on the EU market.
Dealers and construction companies that are caught using, selling or buying non-compliant machines in the EU face serious problems.
The new guideline outlines the consequences in terms of reputation, business and liabilities that companies may face if they act illegally.
The guideline can be download in both English and German at: www.vdma.org/construction
