New static jaw crusher

Pilot Crushtec have recently introduced the Pilot modular MJ 2436 static jaw crusher in response to a demand for a more cost-effective, skid-mounted, electrically driven crusher unit.

The crusher consists of a 16ft vibrating grizzly feeder that feeds a 900mm x 600mm jaw crusher, all mounted on a heavy-duty skid frame. The grizzly feeder, designed for both quarrying and recycling operations, is powered by a 18.5kW variable-speed drive motor and can accommodate material up to 500mm in diameter. The vibrator assembly and grizzly section are bolted together for ease of assembly or disassembly. Abrasion-resistant liners are also bolted for easy removal. Eccentric counter-rotating timed vibrator shafts mounted on large spherical roller bearings provide the machine’s vibrating motion and a timing gear adjustment allows for variable feeder throw.

The 24 x 36 CT Series jaw crusher, powered by a 75kW electric motor and operating at 250 rev/min, is capable of crushing material at 120–275 tonnes/h. The crusher’s fabricated, stress-relieved steel base and rib-reinforced side plates make it a robust and durable machine. Hydraulically operated closed-side setting allows the aperture of the crusher to be changed in minutes.

The MJ 2436 unit is easily relocatable as no initial civil work is required on site and it can be erected in a matter of hours.
