New regional sales appointments at Volvo CE

Carl Slotte

Carl Slotte and Stephen Roy appointed as president of sales for EMEA and Americas respectively

CARL Slotte, currently senior vice-president for global key accounts with Volvo Construction Equipment, has been appointed as the new president of sales for the company’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) sales region, with effect from 1 October 2016.

Mr Slotte (pictured) – who has more than 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, including senior positions within Volvo CE’s global functions, the sales organization and within the dealer network – will be responsible for meeting the needs of customers in the strategically important EMEA region and strengthening Volvo CE’s market position.

He succeeds Tomas Kuta, who was appointed senior vice-president of global sales for Volvo CE in June 2016.

News of Mr Slotte’s new role comes a month after the appointment of Stephen Roy as president of the company’s Americas sales region, with effect from 1 September 2016.

Having previously held senior management positions in Volvo Financial Services and the Volvo Group’s North American commercial truck operations, including president of Mack Trucks, Mr Roy will be responsible for meeting the needs of customers in both North America and Latin America, strengthening Volvo CE’s market position in the region and boosting profitability.

Based at the company’s sales and production facility in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, he will report to Tomas Kuta, who said: ‘I have every confidence that Stephen will continue the good work of his predecessor Goran Lindgren, whom I thank for his tremendous efforts, in growing our market share through meeting the needs of our customers.’
