New MHEA president announced

Paul Bancroft appointed as new president of the Materials Handling Equipment Association (MHEA)

PAUL Bancroft, sales and marketing director of Continental Conveyor Products, has been appointed new president of MHEA. He succeeds Brian Mackenzie who served the association for two years.

A well-known figure within the materials handing sector, Mr Bancroft has worked for a number of high-profile companies, including Harsco Corporation (in US), Rolls Royce Industrial Power Group (Mining), Redler Ltd and Clyde Bergermann.

Commenting on his new role, Mr Bancroft said: The MHEA supports many industries in the UK and it is a great honour for me to take over the reigns from Brian.  He will certainly be a hard act to follow. I now hope to push ahead in endeavouring to make sure that the MHEA has a greater depth of presence in the industrial markets our members serve.

‘In addition, I will strive to ensure that the MHEA and our members are the first port of reference with appropriate recognition within our country’s various trade and industry departments as our capabilities cover both domestic and international market sectors.’
