New Metso plant for Tillicoultry Quarries

Metso Lokotrack LT120 mobile jaw crusher

Lokotrack LT120 mobile jaw crusher chosen for its high flexibility and capacity

TILLICOULTRY Quarries have purchased a new Metso Lokotrack LT120 mobile jaw crusher from official UK dealers Garriock Bros. Ltd. The processing plant will be used at Tillicoultry Quarries’ Northfield Quarry in Scotland, where it will help ensure higher flexibility and capacity during production.

‘We have a strong mobile processing fleet, albeit our largest jaws are mainly used for recycling and some primary processing,’ said Andrew Shakeshaft, area production manager for Tillicoultry Quarries.

‘The Lokotrack LT120 will give us the capacity and mobility we need to ensure full flexibility in all applications. The LT120 matches our specifications, comes with a top-end reputation in terms of quality and has been proven in hard rock applications.’

Tillicoultry Quarries are continuing to invest in furthering their ambitious growth strategy. Maintaining a sustainable supply to all external customers and internally added value product lines are the main drivers, along with flexible operation.

The Lokotrack mobile crusher will initially be deployed to crush basalt at Northfield, after which it will then be used to process materials across the company’s hard rock quarries and provide additional volume capacity when required. The Northfield site is one of Scotland’s largest quarry operations, supplying aggregates, asphalt and concrete.
