New-generation G8 Series conveyor chains from Tsubaki

Tsubaki G8 series chain

Eighth-generation chain design said to set new performance and endurance standards

CHAIN manufacturers Tsubaki, who this year celebrate their centenary, have launched their newest-generation G8 Series RS roller chains and heavy-duty drive chains. The company’s standard RS roller chains are designed to meet a broad range of applications and offer a 20% longer service life over the previous generation designs.

A key feature of the RS units is the special corrosion-suppressing oil that helps prevent rust and increases durability. Developed in house, the oil does not leave a sticky residue on the chain surface, making handling cleaner and more efficient. The new G8 roller chain is available in 11 sizes from RS40 to RS240.

The G8 heavy-duty drive chain offers greatly improved performance and is aimed at applications requiring the movement of large loads at low speeds. The chain provides increased strength as a result of a new heat-treatment process, thicker material and innovative geometry, while remaining the same size as the standard chain.

The latest Tsubaki G8 Series heavy-duty chain is available in three variants:

  • The RS-HT roller chain features highly precise seamless bushes that double the service life and reduce maintenance needs
  • The Super roller chain features a new link plate design that increases load capacity by as much as 10%.
  • The Super-H roller chain offers a 20% increased maximum load by providing a ring coin on the inner plate, giving end-users the possibility of using smaller chains, reducing costs and saving space.
