New data-management software from Casella

HEALTH and safety professionals can be bombarded with data from a wide range of monitoring technologies, and interpreting, disseminating and archiving this information are all vital parts of the job.

Casella have now simplified the task with their latest data-management software package that downloads and manages exposure data for a wide variety of occupational hazards, including noise and dust.

Casella Insight can download survey data – gathered by monitoring equipment such as sound-level meters, noise dosimeters and air-sampling pumps – and allows them to be stored on a central database. Exposure data can then be managed by criteria, such as person, place or process, and viewed in tabular or graphical formats that combine multiple hazards simultaneously for an overall exposure calculation to be made.

Data can be imported from other devices or exported/sent to other users, offering easy data sharing. An integral report wizard ensures comprehensive reports are prepared, and the software manages all the instrument calibration scheduling and storage of calibration certificates.
