New appointments at NSSGA

Michele Stanley

Transportation industry veteran and digital specialist join National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association team

Michele Stanley, a seasoned surface transportation lobbyist and former Capitol Hill staffer; and online expert, Andrew McConnell, have join the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA) staff.  Ms Stanley (pictured) comes to her new role after two years with the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA).

‘Michele’s past experience applies directly to the aggregates industry’s top issue: finding a long-term solution to the highway trust fund,’ said NSSGA president and CEO Michael W. Johnson. ‘NSSGA is fortunate to find someone with Michele’s experience as she is already making an impact on Capitol Hill on behalf of the entire aggregates industry.’

Andrew McConnell, also new to the NSSGA team, takes over as the Association’s digital communicator. He will be responsible for NSSGA’s website, social media and other online publications.

‘Enhancing our internal and external communications is a key component of our strategic plan and Andrew’s experience is perfect to grow NSSGA’s presence in the online world,’ added Mr Johnson.
