New appointment at Smico/Symons

Alan Odgers

US-based screen manufacturer appoints Alan Odgers as new vice president

OKLAHOMA-based Smico/Symons Screens have announced the appointment of Alan Odgers as vice-president. Mr Odgers brings with him extensive experience in global distribution of construction-related equipment, having managed all areas of sales, marketing, manufacturing and retail distribution through a number of dealers and direct sales outlets. 

Beginning his career with Charles Machine Works in 1987, he rose through a variety of management roles at Timberjack, Vermeer, Astec Underground and JW Jones Company before joining Smico/Symonds as vice-president. 

 

Mr Odgers will work closely with the Smico/Symons management team to help expand the global sales and distribution of the company’s products. ‘We are excited to add the talents of an industry veteran like Alan to our team,’ commented Erick Heald, co-owner of Smico/Symons Screens. ‘His extensive experience in growing companies within the markets that we serve, in combination with his international experience, will add further depth to our capabilities and support our global initiatives.’

Through mergers and acquisitions, Smico/Symons have more than 80 years of manufacturing screening equipment in a variety of markets where custom solutions, wear parts and processing systems are needed to maximize quality production.
