Nationwide FORS Gold for CEMEX UK

Company achieves nationwide Gold standard in Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme

CEMEX UK are one of only 22 companies out of 4,915 registered members to achieve the Gold FORS standard nationwide. FORS is the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, a voluntary certification scheme run by Transport for London.

Just over a year ago the company received the Gold standard for its London operations, which guaranteed standards in management, vehicles, drivers and operations based upon lawfulness, safety, efficiency and environmental protection.

The nationwide Gold standard is more demanding and required CEMEX to provide evidence for all their operations covering more than 400 vehicles operating throughout the country.

Craig Williamson, logistics director with CEMEX UK, commented: ‘Our vehicles cover more than 15 million miles per annum and we aim to do everything we can to reduce the risk of accidents for the benefit of everyone on the roads.

‘Reaching the standards for the Gold level requires that our vehicles and drivers are operating to the highest standard and helping to improve road safety everywhere we operate.’
