Mentor offer ALLMI training

  • 07 January 2013 - 16:10

Accredited courses for all skill levels now available for lorry-mounted cranes

Due to heightened demand for training under the Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers (ALLMI), Mentor are now offering accredited courses for all skill levels and categories.

ALLMI have a reciprocal working relationship with the HSE and are the most experienced accrediting body in the industry with regards to training on lorry-mounted cranes. They set the standards, having had a hand in producing the Lorry Loader section of the guidance document ‘BS7121 - Safe Use of Cranes’, the principal directive on this type of equipment, followed by all levels of crane operators across the UK.

Recognized by the UK Major Contractors Group (UKCG), training under the ALLMI banner is by far the most widely acknowledged of its kind. On successful completion of an accredited course, an ALLMI card will be issued, which can be shown as proof that a high standard of training has been completed, eliminating potential problems operators face in gaining access to sites. The ALLMI card is issued alongside a certificate and operator manual.
