Mineralteknikk AS appointed as official distributors of mobile and static trommels and conveyors

MDS, manufacturers of heavy-duty rock trommels and conveying equipment, have appointed Mineralteknikk AS as their official distributor for Norway. The range of MDS machines supplied by the company will include both mobile and stationary models.

With offices in Ålgård, Drammen and Kirkenes, Mineralteknikk have supplied equipment to the crushing and screening industry in Norway for more than 20 years and have a team of skilled professionals with expertise in crushing and screening in Norwegian conditions.

Equipped to provide support throughout the country, the team can provide customers with full commissioning assistance, including safety, operation, emergency stops, daily routines, as well as training following hand-over.

Mineralteknikk’s general manager, Arne Kenneth Øvstebø, said: ‘As the sole distributor for Finlay and Terex Washing Systems in Norway, we have built up valuable knowledge and expertise in the crushing and screening industry which will benefit our partnership with MDS. We are very confident that our employees will contribute towards a positive boost for MDS in the Norwegian market.

‘At Mineralteknikk, we work with our customers to operate their equipment efficiently and reach maximum capacity. This is something that requires expertise and competence at an extremely high level. We feel that this, along with the addition of the MDS range of equipment to our portfolio, will enhance our offering.

‘What is particularly impressive is that MDS have developed a trommel that can handle rocks up to a meter in diameter. With the Government’s investment in offshore wind turbines going forward, this will become a very relevant product as it can be used to produce armour-stone for offshore wind turbine construction in a cost-effective, efficient manner, compared with traditional methods.’

MDS sales manager Ian Todd commented: ‘Mineralteknikk have a strong reputation throughout Norway for providing excellent products and service to their customers. I am looking forward to working closely with their entire team to build and develop the MDS brand in this region.’
