Company divests one cement plant in Urals region for total enterprise value of €104 million

LAFARGE have announced the sale of their cement operations in the Urals region (Russia) to Buzzi Unicem for an enterprise value of €104 million.

Lafarge UralCement operate one cement plant located in Korkino, 40km to the south of Chelyabinsk.

 

The divestment, which will contribute to the company’s objective to reduce net debt, is subject to the authorization of relevant authorities and customary closing conditions.

After the divestment, Lafarge will remain present in Russia’s Central region (Moscow), notably with their Ferzikovo plant inaugurated in May 2014.
