Keestrack mobile crushing solutions for US markets

Keestrack R3 tracked impactor

Latest tracked crushers and crushing technology to feature at Conexpo-Con/Agg 2017

KEESTRACK, specialists in mobile crushing and screening equipment, will be using Conexpo-Con/Agg 2017 to strengthen their position in American markets by presenting several highly flexible solutions for contractors in the recycling and aggregates industry. Machines on display will include the company’s H4 tracked cone crusher and R3 and R5 tracked impactors.

Equipped with the KT-H4 cone crusher, adapted and supplied by a world-leading cone specialist, the light, compact and fully automated H4 unit produces up to 250 tonnes/h at maximum feed size of 7in. With its large feeder volume, large screening areas and high stockpile capacity, Keestrack say the machine is highly productive as either an in-line or stand-alone unit.

The H4’s wide variety of concaves allows for a high degree of flexibility in secondary or tertiary production of highly defined end fractions. To further optimize production, the plant can also be equipped with an optional pre-screen with fines chute, and – as a world first – with a highly efficient three-deck secondary screen module with recycling conveyor for closed-circuit processing.

Moreover, the H4 features a hybrid diesel-electric drive concept (345kW, Tier 4 Final diesel / 330kVA genset / 135kW E-drive for the crusher), ensuring economic fuel consumption and ease of maintenance through the use of electric motors on the screens and conveyors.

The recently introduced full-hybrid version, the H4e, allows full electric operation via the mains or an external genset, with an additional electric motor/hydro pump supplying the hydraulically driven feeder, secondary screen module, tracks and all hydraulic cylinders.

Keestrack will also be displaying the 33-tonne R3 tracked impactor and 55-tonne R5 version. Both machines feature active pre-screening and will be shown with full optional equipment, which includes magnetic separators, fines conveyors and secondary screen modules with closed-circuit operation (R3: one deck; R5: two decks).

Both direct-driven crushing units are characterized by their large, heavy rotors, which ensure high crushing energy combined with smooth running, whilst large inlet openings and efficient overload protection systems ensure productive operation in typical recycling applications, without cost-intensive pre-sorting or pulverizing.

The R3 and R5 models displayed on Conexpo will both feature diesel-hydraulic drives with modern load-sensing hydraulics. And as with the larger R6 model, the R5 can also be equipped with a hybrid diesel-electric drive that offers up to 25% fuel savings compared with the diesel-hydraulic version.
