US manufacturer launches new screening plant for medium-to-large-sized aggregate producers
OHIO-based IROCK Crushers’ new TS-518 mobile tracked screening plant offers medium-to-large-sized material producers a compact, heavy-duty and easy-to-move machine with a high output.
According to the manufacturer, the tracked screen has been developed with hydraulically powered components, including conveyors, for fast and easy set-up as well as trouble-free on-site mobility, without the need for a trailer.
The TS-518 screening plant is equipped with a 12 cubic yard hopper and a 129hp Caterpillar diesel engine. It is available in two- and three-deck models, with both versions featuring high-energy, two-bearing screenboxes for sorting a wide range of materials, including aggregates and sand.
Producers are able to sort up to three material sizes in the two-deck unit and up to four sizes in the three-deck model. Users can also change the screen media on each deck for full control over end-product size.
The screener’s feed conveyor offers adjustable speed for efficient and effective material loading into the screenbox. Producers can sort and stockpile as many as three different materials at once, thanks to the unit’s tail conveyor and two side conveyors.
The tail conveyor sorts material into stockpiles up to 15ft 2in high, while the two side conveyors offer an adjustable speed for sorting into stockpiles up to 16ft 8in high, allowing operators to place more material under the belt before moving the screener to the next stockpile.
Developed to withstand the rigours of day-to-day use, the TS-518 plant features a solid, heavy-duty steel chassis that provides durability on site and during transportation. Maintenance is simple with the screener’s easy-to-access engine compartment that provides ample room for repairing or replacing components.
IROCK offer several additional features to customize the unit for specific applications. An optional remote-controlled livehead effectively sizes and loosens heavy, dirty and sticky debris from feed material before it enters the hopper, thereby expediting the screening process and boosting productivity.
Users can also choose from the standard tethered remote or IROCK’s optional wireless remote for greater flexibility around the site. In addition, a crusher chute gives producers the option to directly feed material into the hopper without removing the tipping grid. A single-shaft shredder is also available for effective topsoil screening.
