IQ launches new digitally integrated website

Website

Institute of Quarrying provides members with improved access to a range of services

A NEW multi-platform website has been launched by The Institute of Quarrying, providing members with improved access to a range of services including upcoming training and event listings to book online, industry news and updates, and an online platform to purchase exclusive IQ merchandise and CPD resources.

The website, which incorporates a simple user interface and integrated digital channels to deliver up-to-date information and resources to members, was redeveloped as part of a brand project to better align the Institute with the needs of the modern quarrying sector.

IQ business development and communications manager Sarah Fry said of the launch: ‘The key objective of the site is to present the Institute in a more open and transparent manner, and to enable anyone to easily reach out and engage with us. We also wanted to develop a site that widely promoted the opportunity of building successful careers within the industry through ongoing personal and professional development.

‘The website redevelopment was driven by feedback from IQ members who are increasingly looking for us to deliver relevant information and advice in a timely and user-friendly manner. Improved integration of all of our digital channels means we can better manage our communications to members and the wider industry.’

The newly launched website has already received positive feedback from members. IQ President Miles Watkins said: ‘It’s great to see our members so engaged in what we have to offer them, both in terms of tools to aid their CPD through the Skills Wheel and with a host of events and activities to look forward to in our centenary year.’
