Industry veteran joins RBMR

Andy Penney appointed to new sales manager role with Raymond Brown Minerals & Recycling

RAYMOND Brown Minerals & Recycling (RBMR) have appointed industry expert Andy Penney to a new sales manager role at the Ringwood-based company.

With almost a quarter of a century’s experience in aggregates, Mr Penney joins RBMR from Hanson UK where he spent the last 22 years managing sales to the construction industry.

His appointment follows significant investment by RBMR in a new washing plant at the company’s quarry in Binnegar, Wareham, which will further improve the quality of the sand and boost production.

In his new role Mr Penney will continue to grow his contact book, supplying contractors and merchant hauliers across the South with varying grades of sand.

‘The new plant at Binnegar Quarry will be one of the best in the business and represents an exciting opportunity for the company,’ he said.

‘I’m extremely proud to be at the helm driving sales ensuring that we can reap the full reward of this cutting-edge technology. My ambition for the next 18 months is to secure a wave of new contracts that capitalizes on the investment.’

RBMR director Colin Bolam added: ‘Andy is truly one of the veterans of the industry and we are delighted to have him on board. His wealth of experience and network of contacts will be invaluable and add to our already esteemed team.’
