POWERSCREEN are currently celebrating 10 successful years of operations in India. Patrick Brian, global sales and marketing director, said: ‘The country has been a rapidly emerging economy and Powerscreen equipment is playing a major role in developing its infrastructure. We have invested in the local economy with a purpose-built manufacturing facility in Hosur, which has strengthened our intent to continue to grow with India.’

In 2001, the company appointed Voltas Ltd as its first Indian distributor. In the same year, the first ever Powerscreen plant was sold in September and since then, Voltas have helped the company gain the largest market share of tracked crushing and screening equipment in the Indian market.

As the demand for Powerscreen products continued, the crushing and screening specialists recruited additional distributors in the country; in 2009, Alpha Technical Services Pvt Ltd were appointed, along with Vijay Traders. This year, the distribution network has further expanded with the appointment of two distributors, Progressive and Lathangi, increasing Powerscreen’s reach within India.
