Increased interest in weighbridge systems

Weightron at Hillhead 2012

Weightron Bilanciai Ltd received an unprecedented number of weighbridge enquiries at this year’s Hillhead show. There was increased footfall overall and visitors to the Weightron stand were positive about the show.

There was particular interest shown in the company’s complete weighbridge management systems based around the Diade 2050 colour touch-control unmanned terminal and Winweigh software. This combination provides unrivalled data management and versatility. There was also a high level of interest in the company’s new UTS weighbridge, which offers value for money. The robust UTS is available in standard 15m and 18m lengths (3m wide) in capacities ranging from 40 tonnes to 80 tonnes.

Weightron’s sales director Emlyn Roberts is delighted with the response: ‘We find that more and more customers are looking for integrated weighbridge systems that can meet the growing demand for solutions that can integrate with standard management software systems such as SAP, Sage and Microsoft Navision. Of course underpinning this is still the requirement for reliable and accurate weighbridges that can operate in the harsh quarrying and recycling environments. Low-cost weighbridges may seem attractive initially, but experience shows that they fail to meet medium- to long-term operational requirements.

‘Unlike many of our competitors, we design and manufacture all the critical parts of the weighbridge system including load-cells, instrumentation, software and the weighbridges themselves. This ensures optimized system integration and performance.’
