Hyundai launch the new HL975 wheel loader

Hyundai HL975 wheel loader

Next-generation model offers increased power, reduced environmental impact and enhanced operator comfort

HYUNDAI have introduced the latest HL975 wheel loader – a powerful and productive machine that has been engineered to meet the South Korean firm’s high standards following thorough research among operators worldwide asking what they expected from the next-generation of wheel loaders.

The HL975 has an operating weight of 26,500kg and at the heart of the new machine is the very latest Cummins QSG12 engine (compliant to EU Stage IV emissions regulations) that delivers 250kW at 2,100 rev/min.

With its high-strength design structure and durable system, proven by the rigorous tests at various work sites, the HL975, as with all Hyundai wheel loaders, has been designed to perform high-load work and maximize productivity. Durability of frames and attachments has been enhanced considerably compared with the previous generation 9-Series.

As well as being more fuel-efficient, the HL Series machines – which include the HL955, HL960 and HL980 models – boast numerous environmental friendly features. For example, a programmable automatic engine shutdown feature prevents unnecessary fuel consumption and emissions by turning off the engine when it enters into a state of ‘idling’.

There is also an optional five-speed transmission with a lock-up clutch, which improves efficiency. In addition, the Eco Gauge encourages economical operation by providing the operator with a visual reference of the machine’s fuel efficiency, total fuel consumption and average fuel data.

The standard Eco Pedal automatically detects foot pressure and adjusts power modes according to job demand, while the ‘travel speed limit control’ feature limits the maximum speed within a 20-40km/h range to suit diverse working conditions, improving operational efficiency.

For added operator comfort, the new 10% larger ROPS/FOPS cabin on the HL975 features a fully adjustable seat and an ergonomic working environment. The cabin is also fully soundproof using the latest noise reduction technology, while an electro-hydraulic control lever allows operators to handle attachments with ease, resulting in increased productivity and a reduction in fatigue.

For operator convenience, the HL975 wheel loader is equipped with an ‘Infotainment’ system in the form of a 7in wide touchscreen monitor that connects to the operator’s smartphone via Bluetooth.

All HL900 Series models include a Hyundai onboard weighing system as standard, which has automatic and manual settings for monitoring individual or cumulative bucket load weights.

Hyundai’s new bucket design now features a wider opening, curved side plates and an enhanced spillage guard to optimize bucket capacity and reduce loss of material during movement. Durability has also been increased using high wear-resistant steel in key structural areas of the bucket.
