Hillhead 2012: BPH adopt Cesar for ProDem hydraulic breakers

Ian Gratton

BPH, market leaders in the sale, rental and repair of hydraulic excavator attachments, have announced the adoption of the official equipment security and registration scheme, CESAR, to protect new ProDem attachments.

Hydraulic breakers, which are the most common excavator attachment, are one of the most commonly stolen pieces of equipment with professional and opportunistic thieves targeting equipment on civil engineering and construction sites.

CESAR is a proven deterrent against theft and an invaluable aid in recovery. Datatag, the company behind the sophisticated security technology used in the CESAR system, have trained BPH’s own technicians to fit CESAR. BPH Sales are sole importers of ProDem hydraulic hammers, selector grabs, pulverizers, multi-processors and compactors.

BPH are exhibiting ProDem hammers fitted with CESAR at Hillhead. Commenting on the announcement Matthew Bastable, BPH’s sales manager, said: ‘We’ve been aware of CESAR for some time now and know that it’s a proven deterrent against theft. We’ve decided the time is right to protect our own equipment and offer the added benefit, of CESAR, to our customers to protect their new ProDem attachments.’
