Hanson UK customer service centre opens for business

First wave of 150 staff start work at One Marlborough Court in Syston, Leicestershire

HANSON UK’s new national customer service centre at Watermead Business Park, in Syston, Leicestershire, opened for business this week.

The first wave of 150 ordering, sales administration and distribution staff has transferred from an ageing building in Shepshed into One Marlborough Court, and the entire 240+ team will come together by the end of the year.

Finola Timmins, general manager of the customer service centre, said: ‘Having the combined group under one roof will help improve the service we offer to our customers and the design of this outstanding building will also contribute to us working together more effectively.’

A number of staff from Hanson’s offices at Allington in Kent and Ketton in Rutland will be relocating to Syston, and the company will also be recruiting up to 70 new employees.

More than 150 staff and their families attended an open day at the new office on Saturday, allowing them to check out the state-of-the-art building for the first time.

Located close to the M1 and A46, One Marlborough Court will also provide meeting and large conference facilities for Hanson’s wider business, as well as a dedicated training facility for customer service staff.
