Greenbank and Bridgestone join forces

GREENBANK and Bridgestone have teamed up to further enhance the former’s pipe conveyor offering. The collaboration agreement will see Bridgestone provide technical expertise for Greenbank’s materials handling division.

Charles Conroy, managing director of Greenbank, said: ‘Bridgestone’s technical knowledge and operational experience in this field is second to none. This agreement gives us access to an unrivalled level of expertise, which will undoubtedly help further enhance our pipe conveyor portfolio.’

Pipe conveyors provide considerable environmental and economic benefits over traditional bulk material transport methods, eg minimized dust generation, protection from contamination, spillage prevention etc. Enclosed belts can also accommodate steeper inclines and require much less floor space than a conventional belt design.

Mr Nakaegawa, general manager – conveyor belts sales and marketing for Bridgestone, said: ‘We are committed to working with companies that deliver exceptional products and services for the materials handling industry and the Greenbank Group have an excellent reputation in this field. We are very much looking forward to providing our technical services, as they design and deploy pipe conveyor systems that uses Bridgestone belt technology.’
