Genesis appoint new UK distributor
Blue Group to sell and service Genesis range of demolition and recycling/rehandling equipment
THE Blue Group have recently been appointed as the new UK distributor for the Genesis range of demolition and material-handling attachments.
Commenting on the appointment, Blue Fuchs managing director Terry Hughes said: ‘The Genesis range fits in perfectly with the existing range of equipment sold and serviced by Blue. We can now offer our existing and new clients a full package for their businesses, whether it be demolition or recycling/rehandling.’
The current Genesis line-up comprises: dedicated scrap shears ranging from the 2.5-tonne GXP200 up to the 25-tonne GXP2500R suitable for a 160-tonne carrier; the GSG range of orange-peel grabs up to 1.91 cubic metre capacity, which will complement the range of Fuchs material handlers sold by the group; mechanical concrete pulverizers; magnets; and the LXP and Versi-Pro range of processors with interchangeable cutting equipment.
Manufactured in the US and Germany, the Genesis range has built up a reputation across Europe for being solidly built and reliable. ‘We are looking to build on the reputation of the manufacturer and offer the same first-class service that we give with our existing ranges of equipment,’ said Mr Hughes.
The first Genesis unit to be sold by Blue – a GXP660R MAXX – has gone to Central Demolition for use on their Agillent Tecnologies project in Scotland. The shear is being used for both structural demolition and sizing of materials before they are dispatched from site.
‘The GXP660R is proving its worth on this project. The tool is an excellent performer with high cutting forces combined in a well-built unit,’ commented Central Demolition’s managing director, Ross Craig.
