Finning to sell Cat CG gas engine range
Finning Power Systems appointed as UK and Ireland dealers for Cat CG range of gas engines
FINNING Power Systems, a division of Finning (UK), have been appointed as sole UK and Ireland dealers for Caterpillar’s CG range of gas generator sets.
This latest addition to Finning’s extensive power solutions portfolio – which has been proven in more than 5,800 installations worldwide – will allow the business to deliver a wider range of reliable, efficient, bespoke engineered packages to a diverse customer base.
Featuring electrical outputs ranging from 400 to 4,300kWe, the CG132, CG170 and CG260 generator sets can operate on gases of varying quality, including natural gas and biogases such as landfill, digester and sewerage gas, coke gas and coal mine methane.
Richard Russett, general manager of Finning Power Systems, said: ‘Energy efficiency and sustainability are currently at the forefront of our customers’ requirements. This new product line complements our longstanding diesel- and gas-powered generation business and will significantly expand our customer options for sustainable solutions.’
Available in both 50Hz- and 60Hz-rated models, the CG range is designed for maximum efficiency in extended-duty distributed generation and co-generation applications, including industrial/commercial facilities, utilities, waste-water treatment plants, landfill sites and mines.
