Finedoor launch joint venture in UAE

Quarry Tec Industries LLC to service quarrying, construction and recycling industries in the Gulf

FINEDOOR have signed an agreement with a local sponsor to form a new joint-venture company in the United Arab Emirates. The new company, Quarry Tec Industries LLC, will operate from Dubai and will be strategically placed to service the construction, recycling and quarrying industries in both the Emirates and the wider Gulf region.

Under the agreement, Quarry Tec chairman and prominent local businessman Ali Ahmed Bin Huwaidi will work with Finedoor to offer project support, engineering services and spares from the company’s new 1,000 square metre facility.

Jim Blanchard, Finedoor’s commercial director, said: ‘This new joint venture is an investment that reflects our commitment to a region we have worked in since Finedoor were established in 1984. With a large base of customers who we regularly trade with, it made common sense to take this step to further improve our offering to them.

‘Additionally, we shall also look to increase our product portfolio in the Middle East over the next few years, which will include long-term agreements with companies such as Harpscreen in the UK.’

Quarry Tec’s new facilities comprise office accommodation, storage facilities and a large workshop. A team of qualified engineers working under general manager Essam Abdulsalam will maintain an extensive range of parts including a full range of vibrating screen mesh, screen and crusher components.

Currently, Quarry Tec are completing the construction of a major industrial recycling plant incorporating a mobile crusher, material-handling equipment, an eddy current separator and an Enviroflo dust-collection system, which is currently being shipped from the UK to Dubai for assembly on site.
