Enhanced belt performance

PIX Europe have modified their range of ‘X’treme synchronous belts by primarily enhancing the tooth profile, which is said to improve the performance of the belts. The updated design distributes the stress on the teeth while meshing with the counter face in the pulleys, which reduces the hot spot in the teeth.

This new tooth design, complemented by a high shear strength tooth compound, also improves the torque transmitting capacity and reduces tooth jump. As a result, the backing of the belt resists flex cracking.

To prolong the lifespan of the belt, a wear-resistant, specially woven, strong and stretchable nylon fabric is fitted to protect the teeth from wear and tear.

The belts are available in a wide range of sizes and include fibreglass cords, polychloroprene teeth and tops.
