Materials Handling Engineers’ Association extends awards deadline to 25 August 2017

THE Material Handling Engineers’ Association (MHEA) has extended the awards deadline for its 2017 Excellence Awards to midnight on 25 August.

Now in their second year, the MHEA Excellence Awards recognize and celebrate the talent, creativity and achievements of companies and individuals in the UK bulk materials handling industry. Companies can enter one or more of the four award categories:

Apprentice of the Year: The Apprentice of the Year Award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate an apprentice’s exceptional occupational progress and their contribution to their workplace during their apprenticeship. To enter, applicants must be based in the UK and have completed or be in an apprenticeship scheme within the last 12 months.

Project of the Year: An award acknowledging a project that has achieved significant success through effective management and delivery approaches. Awards are considered for projects demonstrating excellence, regardless of size in the bulk materials handling industry.

Supplier of the Year: An award recognizing exemplary service, performance and customer commitment by a supplier in the bulk materials handling industry.

Innovation Award: An award for the introduction of new technology or an improved solution in the bulk materials handling industry.

All nominations must be made by a member of the MHEA, however non-members can be put forward for an award. Winners will be announced at the awards dinner on 18 October 2017 at Eastwood Hall, Nottingham, at the end of the first day of the BULKEX conference.

Michael Kaye, chairman of the MHEA, said: ‘Support for the awards has been very strong and the awards dinner has almost sold out. Last year’s winners have definitely benefitted from the kudos of pan-industry recognition and we are looking forward to finding the deserving candidates for 2017.’

Entries for the awards can be made online or an entry pack downloaded from the conference microsite at: www.Bulkex.co.uk
