Continental acquire Vulk & Montage Group

Continental

Acquisition further expands range of services in important industrial area of central Sweden

CONTINENTAL have acquired conveyor and maintenance company Vulk & Montage, one of the leading service providers for the conveyor industry in central Sweden, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition will complement Continental’s portfolio and establish the technology company in the heart of Sweden’s industrial area.

Operating out of four branches – Karlstad (headquarters), Örebro, Mora, and Stockholm – and one rubber workshop, Vulk & Montage provide add-on products such as belts, belt scrapers, industrial hoses, screens, wear rubber, lightweight conveyor belts, technical plastics, as well as additional services such as lining (cold and hot), sprayed polyurethane, sandblasting, and paintwork. Their operations will be integrated into Continental’s Conveying Solutions business area, a leader in conveying and off-highway solutions worldwide.

‘With Vulk & Montage Group, we are able to offer an entire service and solution package in addition to the current Continental product portfolio to our industrial customers in central Sweden. The acquisition underscores again our goal of further expanding our service business directly with our customers and aligning our focus accordingly,’ explained Song Qi, who is responsible for global business with conveyor belt system solutions at Continental.

Completion of the acquisition is subject to approval by the relevant authorities.
