Cone crusher for Taylor Plant

Devon-based R.L. Taylor Plant & Transport have purchased a CM4800i track-mounted cone crusher from Sandvik Mining & Construction to supplement their fleet of mobile crushing and screening equipment.

The company currently operate a Sandvik CM1208 track-mounted jaw crusher and previously operated an RM4800 cone crusher. When approached by Sandvik last autumn to assist in the development of the CM4800i as a front-line crusher, they were in full agreement. The development machine was trialed on a variety of materials including diorites in Devon and Cornish granites. Working in conjunction with the CM1208, the new machine proved to be successful, producing both sub-base and single-size material. During the course of the development Sandvik were able to review and refine a range of operational features that have now become standard.

The success of the trials prompted R.L. Taylor to purchase a CM4800i, which Sandvik recently delivered and commissioned.
