Colas relocate to the West Midlands
New UK headquarters opened by chief executive officers of Colas Group SA and Bouygues SA
COLAS Ltd have relocated their headquarters from Sussex to the West Midlands. The new offices in Birmingham were officially opened on 31 August 2021 by Frédéric Gardès, chairman and chief executive officer of Colas SA, and Olivier Roussat, chief executive officer of Bouygues SA. They were joined on their visit to the new UK headquarters by newly appointed Colas Group HR director Amelia Irion.
Colas Ltd took the decision in early 2021 to relocate their corporate headquarters to Bishops Court, Birmingham Business Park, as part of their long-term strategic growth plans and post-pandemic property review.
The company believes that having its head office in a more central location within the UK will bring many benefits, including improved connectivity. At the same time, it has taken the opportunity to move to a building that provides a lower carbon footprint and enhanced collaborative working facilities that better reflect the post-pandemic working environment.
Carl Fergusson, chief executive officer of Colas Ltd, said: ‘I am delighted to have welcomed Frédéric Gardès, Amelia Irion and Olivier Roussat to the UK to open our new headquarters. The new location puts us in the heart of the UK, closer to more of our regional business activities and clients, and offers us the facilities and connectivity we need to support our ambitious future growth plans.’
