CITS Conference 2015

CITS conference and exhibition

One-day Combined Industries Theft Solutions event to take place at JCB World Headquarters in Rocester on 12 November

THE eighth CITS conference and exhibition will highlight current trends and new potential threats that are expected to affect the construction equipment industry over the coming year. Under the theme: ‘Small Tools Big Losses’, the event aims to reduce thefts and current scams by encouraging delegates to adopt best industry practice.

The conference will hear from a wide range of speakers, experts in their field, who will update attendees on the current position and recommend practical solutions to reduce the risk of becoming victims of crime.

Among the featured speakers at the conference will be: Ian Elliot, CITS chairman and head of security for Clancy Group; Charlie McMurdie, ex-head of Met Police cyber crime unit; Michael Gregory, director of JCB Insurance Services; and Renato Schipani, Interpol representative and president of International Association of Auto Theft Investigators (European branch).

During the event, delegates will also see a brand new product being launched by the Construction Equipment Association. Micro CESAR has been specially designed to protect the small tools market, thanks to innovations that allow companies and plant hire firms to easily manage their tool assets and make easy identification. The new system will complement the existing CESAR scheme for construction and agriculture equipment, which now protects more than 200,000 items of machinery.

The CITS conference will conclude with the presentation of the CESAR Awards. Winners will be announced in six categories, including a special recognition award.
