Chicago Pneumatic appoint BMI Group

Equipment manufacturer expands presence in South Africa with new distributor

CHICAGO Pneumatic have appointed BMI Group as their latest authorized distributor in South Africa. Headquartered in Johannesburg, BMI will support Chicago Pneumatic in further expanding the company’s growing presence in Southern Africa, with full access to a portfolio of hand-held pneumatic, hydraulic and petrol-driven tools alongside compaction equipment, rig-mounted attachments, portable compressors, generators and lighting towers.

‘What ultimately made us decide to partner with Chicago Pneumatic is the tried-and-tested nature of their equipment, which is ruggedly built and ideally suited for use in tough African working conditions,’ commented David Ireland, managing director of BMI Group.

‘This, and the diverse range of competitively priced construction equipment solutions on offer, made us jump at the opportunity to work with Chicago Pneumatic, who we see as a great fit for our customer base.’

BMI Group recently took delivery of the first CP1100-21 high-pressure, mechanical portable compressor in Africa, which is to be used in a special application on the South African railways.
