Chepstow purchase more Bell machines

Bell B30D articulated dumptruck

Plant hire firm places order for 11 new articulated dumptrucks from Bell Equipment

CHEPSTOW Plant International have ordered a new fleet of Bell ADTs with capacities ranging from 25 to 40 tonnes. For more than 10 years, Chepstow have been dealing with Bell Equipment and the latest investment represents a mix of fleet expansion and replacement models.

The plant hire firm, based in Caldicott, North Wales, will take delivery of four B25Ds, three B30Ds, two B35Ds and two B40Ds.

The majority of the new Bell ADTs will be assigned to long-term contracts where cost-efficiency and reliability are paramount. Applications range from sand and gravel through to clay mill and opencast projects.

One of the key drivers behind Chepstow’s continued usage of Bell Equipment is Fleetmatic, the advanced in-built fleet-management system that is incorporated into all Bell machines.

Chepstow Plant International were one of the first users of Bell’s Fleetmatic system in the UK, which delivers ongoing performance data to help the company get the best out of the many Bell ADTs and wheel loaders in its fleet.

‘We have a high dependency on Fleetmatic in terms of weight-load information – ensuring our operators don’t overload the machines – and also in terms of confirming their exceptional fuel economy,’ explained John Corcoran, managing director of Chepstow Plant International. ‘Over many years we have amassed a wealth of data, which gives our customers and ourselves the peace of mind that our Bell ADTs are performing.’

Mr Corcoran also cited the emphasis Bell place on personable support and service as a vital factor in the relationship. ‘As our business develops year to year, so they have developed too,’ he said. ‘Bell always take an active interest in the requirements of our clients, so they can respond with the best-possible solution.’

Nick Learoyd, managing director of Bell UK, said: ‘In our competitive industry, we can never be complacent, so I’m delighted that Chepstow Plant International have underlined their faith in Bell ADT quality by placing such a large order. We remain committed to working closely with John Corcoran and his team to ensure our products meet and exceed the expectations of both Chepstow and their customers.’
