CEMEX acquisition of RMC clears final hurdle

In February the US anti-trust authorities cleared the £2.3 billion acquisition of RMC by the Mexican cement group CEMEX. At the time of writing the takeover was expected to conclude on 1 March. The deal will create the second largest integrated heavy building materials group in the world, behind Lafarge of France.
