CDE expand team in the Gulf

Ruchin Garg

Ruchin Garg appointed as business development manager for the Middle East region

CDE Global have announced a new addition to their team with the appointment of Ruchin Garg as business development manager for the Gulf. Mr Garg, who was previously involved in the development of the CDE Asia mining business in India, will now oversee the development of the CDE project portfolio in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman.

CDE, who design and manufacture a range of modular materials washing equipment with applications in the construction, mining and specialist industrial sands sectors, have been working in the Gulf region since 2006.

Commenting on the appointment, Iain Walker, CDE regional manager for Middle East and Africa, said: ‘Ruchin is a welcome addition to our team as we seek to build on the successes we have enjoyed in recent years in helping operators in the region to enhance the efficiency and profitability of their operations. Our modular product range allows us to meet the demand for rapid deployment and minimum footprint, which has grown significantly in recent years.’

CDE also report a growing demand for their water recycling systems, which allow operators to minimize the volumes of fresh water required to feed the washing plants. ‘Almost all of the projects that we sell in the Gulf include some form of water-treatment and recycling system. In some instances, if our AquaCycle thickener system was not available then a washing plant would simply not be possible,’ explained Mr Walker.

CDE will be exhibiting at next week’s MENA Mining exhibition and conference from 21–22 October in Dubai. MENA Mining is the largest mining conference and exhibition in the Gulf, attracting more than 1,000 visitors over the two days to discuss future mining projects in the region.

‘We will be promoting the wet processing systems that we offer the mining and specialist industrial sands sectors at MENA Mining,’ explained Mr Garg (pictured). ‘These systems have been employed on numerous global projects in recent years and are introducing efficiencies to the processing of a variety of mineral ores through the effective removal of contamination and the delivery of materials optimized for introduction to downstream processes.’

The company will also have available details of the specialist systems available for the processing of silica sands for use in glass production as well as for foundry sands and other specialist silica sand applications.
