Casella add new model to CEL range

Environmental monitoring specialists Casella have added a new model, the CEL-621, to their CEL-600 Series. The digital sound-level meter is said to be the smallest 1/3rd octave band noise analyser in the world and includes Ln% values, making it a suitable tool for short-term, hand-held environmental noise assessments.

Casella are renowned for making instruments user-friendly and this was a fundamental design factor in developing their latest sound-level meter. From simple baseline surveys to full 1/3rd, all measurements on the CEL-621 can be performed quickly and easily through a basic, intuitive menu driven system.

The high-resolution display assists the users by presenting results in a simple colour-coded format that minimizes the risk of misinterpreting data collected in the field. Internal memory and USB download allows the data to be included in reports without any specialist software.

One of the key features of the CEL-621 is that it can digitally measure in just one span up to 140dB, eliminating the need for range adjustment and preventing reading errors. Measurements on the digital sound-level meter are also inherently stable and repeatable unlike the older generation of analogue instruments still available on the market.

Another major feature of the CEL-621 is that it measures all broadband and octave measurement parameters simultaneously. The sound-level meter is supplied as a kit in a rugged briefcase, which includes an acoustic calibrator, windshield and USB download cable.
