Company selected as primary cement supplier for planned world-class tourist complex in the Bahamas
CEMEX have been named the primary cement supplier for the Baha Mar tourist complex in Cable Beach, Nassau, which is being built by CCA Bahamas Ltd.
Due for completion in December 2014, the complex is expected to house the largest entertainment centre in the Caribbean and will be key in maintaining the Bahamas as one of the world’s premiere tourist destinations.
The Baha Mar complex is expected to feature world-class hotels and condominiums with more than 1km of beach among many other amenities.
As primary supplier, CEMEX will provide 110,000 tons of cement for the first phase of the project, which is currently being built on an area of 1,000 acres.
