Another Terex Finlay plant for TW Frizell

Terex Finlay 883+ screen

Cheshire-based recycling firm ramps up operations with purchase of Terex Finlay 883+ heavy-duty screener

TW Frizell (Haulage and Plant Hire) are expanding productivity at their new recycling centre in Stoke-on-Trent after taking delivery of a new Terex Finlay 883+ mobile screen, the second machine purchased from Finlay Central Limited.

The new site has gone from strength to strength and to meet demand, TW Frizell have expanded their equipment fleet with the purchase of the Terex Finlay machine. The latest plant joins a Terex Finlay J-1170 jaw crusher, which the company purchased from Finlay Central in late 2014.

TW Frizell employ more than 70 staff and offer a range of services, including bulk excavations, labour supply, demolition, site clearance and much shifting with tipping facilities. Although both Terex Finlay machines are based at the Stoke-on-Trent site, they are available to hire for contract crushing and screening.

Company founder Joe Frizell said: ‘The Terex Finlay 883+ boasts great versatility and is a quality machine that is ideal for the job. We also have reassurance from the excellent service and support package that Finlay Central offer.’

The material that is brought to the site is fed through the J-1170 crusher and into the 883+ screening unit producing MOT, pipe bedding, filter media and topsoil. With increased site efficiency gained from both machines working hand in hand, 95% of material brought to the centre is recycled and processed at a much greater speed.

The Terex Finlay 883+, in particular, has the capacity to process at a rate of up to 500 tonnes/h and has been designed to work on its own or after a primary crusher. Applications include quarrying, mining, topsoil, recycling, sand, coal and aggregates, as well as construction and demolition debris.

The plant features a modular configuration screen box with a 4.8m x 1.5m top deck and bottom deck screen, with optional features to permit tines or cassette frames to allow mesh fitting.

Track mounted to maximize on site portability and ease of operation – it also has three hydraulic folding stockpilers to help deliver increased production. Fitted with an abrasion resistant steel pan apron feeder, the Terex Finlay 883+ has a 7 cubic metre-capacity hopper .

Neil Partington of Finlay Central said: ‘It is great to see such expansion and the Terex Finlay 883+ is a first-class addition to the fleet. It is helping the customer to increase productivity of a finished sized aggregate.’
