Rocklift Limited, part of the Murphy Group, is a specialist contractor tackling all aspects of work associated with drilling and blasting in the civils and quarrying industry. This includes rock stabilisation, rockface netting, ground anchors, soil nails and borehole drilling for ground source heat pump installations.

We require an enthusiastic and self-motivated Geologist/Engineer to join the team at our Paisley, Glasgow office. The ideal candidate will have an appropriate qualification in Geology, Civil Engineering, a related discipline or at least three years industry experience in a similar role. The position will involve overseeing the day-to-day progress on Civil (Geotechnical) contracts and Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) drilling contracts. It will involve a mixture of site supervision and office-based work including assistance with estimating activities and preparation of method statements and risk assessments. A sound knowledge of geotechnical and quarrying industries would be an advantage. The successful candidate should possess a working knowledge of current Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation and a good understanding of commercial issues.

Candidates should be highly computer literate, possess the ability to communicate with people across all levels and disciplines and use their initiative to plan and organise workloads efficiently. Candidates will be expected to travel at times and work away from home. A full UK driving licence is essential.
