An Aggregate Industries company and part of the Holcim Group, Halsvik Aggregates AS is a growing and ambitious business that supplies high quality aggregates to Norwegian and European coastal markets from its Super Quarry just north of Bergen and Kvalsund in northern Norway.

With an operational bias your challenge is to lead Halsvik Aggregates AS to world-class standards as you manage all operational, development and administrational activities across the company. A key element of your role will be to ensure that safety, environmental and quality guidelines, systems, measures and goals are applied consistently – and continuously challenged to drive improvement. Leading and motivating your team to deliver exceptional results, you will oversee staff training and development as you constantly monitor performance using standard OEE metrics as business drivers. We also need you to identify and recommend new commercial opportunities, ensure inventory controls are managed effectively and engage with stakeholders, suppliers and local communities. In all of this, you will ensure that our business activities comply with relevant Norwegian employment, trade practice, safety and environmental legislation.

Educated to degree level or equivalent with a recognised Health & Safety qualification, you should combine sound management experience with a good knowledge of OEE, quarrying techniques and extractive processes. Business acumen is essential, together with strong communication, IT and budgetary control skills. An ability to communicate in or learn Norwegian language is required.

In addition, you will need to be an inspirational leader and a strategic thinker and who can coach and mentor your team to drive organisational excellence. With a genuine passion for safety, you also have the ability to manage cultural change.
