trainee shotfirer

A person appointed by the manager in accordance with regulation 26 of the Quarries Regulations 1999. A trainee shotfirer is not permitted to fire shots until the manager is satisfied that he has completed a suitable period of training and appropriate practical experience, and except when he is under the close personal supervision of a shotfirer.
