manganese steels

Steels which contain more manganese than is usually present in plain carbon steel. The steel containing 11% to 14% Mn is called austenitic manganese steel or Hadfield’s manganese steel. This steel possesses high strength and resistance to wear after work-hardening. Used for crusher jaws, gyratory crusher concaves and mantles, bucket teeth etc.
